AhlulBayt News Agency: A solemn vigil was held in Almere, the Netherlands, to honor the memory of Palestinian children who lost their lives in the war on Gaza.
The event was organized by the “Plant an Olive Tree” organization at Stadhuis Square, located in the heart of the city.
Thousands of pairs of small shoes were placed at the square as a symbolic tribute, while volunteers recited the names of the children killed in the attacks.
Volunteers also handed out informational leaflets to passersby, outlining the depth of the suffering faced by children in Gaza under ongoing bombardment.
Esther van der Most, director of the organizing group, told reporters this was the twelfth vigil they had arranged.
She emphasized the organization’s commitment to holding similar vigils throughout the Netherlands, stating that merely condemning the deaths of children is no longer enough. She called for Israel to halt its attacks and vowed continued activism until justice is achieved.
